Question Question

I BOUGHT A JDM AMBER CLOCK FOR MY CIVIC 92-95 EG

but when the cars lights are not on it can remember time.....but when i turn the light on it dims then dies....it would not stay light....i checked all the fuses....there all good....what could be the problem?

probavbly hooked it up wrong. you need a constant power and accesory power to the clock. where did you get the power source from?

the car already had a clock before all i did was replace it with a different one.....the constant power is coming from the cigarette lighter

then the clock is probably no good. take it out, and hook it up to your battery and then unhook the accoesy power wire from the battery and see if it holds the time when you hook it back up

^^^what he said, test it with the battery and see if the clock memory is there. JDM will most likely be wired differently, and try to get the constant from your radio not the cigarette lighter...
