Should The OLGC Pay For Its Mistake?

Few stories have drawn the kind of passionate response as this one. Dozens of you wrote in to tell us what you think about the OLGC's decision not to honour winnings from misprinted tickets. The story came to light after one of those 'winners,' 27-year-old Brampton man Thomas Noftall, expressed his frustration with the lottery corporation for refusing to pay for their error. |

Considering the amount of loot the OLG rakes in from Ontario on a daily basis, is is stupid of them not to pay what is really a drop in the bucket to the 15 or so ticket holders. The good PR alone, additional exposure and possible spike in sales would make up. The route they now choose is dread. What sucks is that the ticket holders seem to be lacking in gonads and are willing to negotiate a settlement. The lawyers are already snaking into the fray to collect what will be a substantial portion of any monies paid out anyway. No settlement. You won fair and square, let OLG eat the cost of their poor QC check. |

Agreed. The customers bought the tickets and won in good faith.
