how did u get locked in a closed? im guessing this is gonna be an interesting story :D

archemedes 09-30-2006 08:44 PM

if the deadbolt wasn't locked I'd have used a credit card (opens about 90% of the doors Ihave ever tried including all the ones on my house)

FamousZ 09-30-2006 08:54 PM

If there was really no need to get in the house that is important.. I wouldnt go breakin ****..

2000v6cam 09-30-2006 09:34 PM

depending on hold long i would have had to be outside i might just have waited in the car

but ok...how i got locked in the closet...lol. Well i was cleaning my room one day and it was nice outside so i had my window open and it was really windy outside... and my closet goes kinda deep so like i can walk a couple feet into it before i hit a wall. so i was cleaning out my closet at the time and i was in the way back of it when a tornado came out of no where and slammed my closet door behind me. lmao ok so it wasn't a tornado but it blew my door closed pretty quick. so i was stuck in there and well i have to explain that my house is like 58902850 years old and it is really retarted b/c my closet door only had a knob on the outside and you could just pull it out from the outside. so when the door slammed the knob fell out :lolsign: and i was thinking about waiting for someone to come home and let me out but i had a pizza in the oven and i knew it only had like 5 minutes left. so yea i had to kick it down. lol. it wasn't my fault. my sisters used to lock me in there all the time when i was little and take the knob out and i hated them for it. so theres my life story...i hope you dont read it

korndogg 09-30-2006 09:54 PM

bwhahahahahahahahahaha thats great

Mikerock 09-30-2006 10:02 PM

oh man..... that is a good story.

blue89vert 09-30-2006 10:37 PM

 yea thats right lmao

credit card wouldnt have worked because the seal overlaps the door edge by about a half an inch, so it would need to make 2 90* turns before it got to the door knob striker.

and this happened at about 10 in the morning or so i think... my parents, who are the only people that have keys that arent inside the house, are coming home tomorrow afternoon. sooo yea im pretty sure i did the right thing. and idk what u guys are smoking, but its way easier to fix a door jam then it is to replace a window.lol

pics tomorrow fo sho

I've done it on doors you would have said wouldn't have worked..but I don't use a credit card, just a plastic card I keep in the wallet for just such occasions- old gift cards work well and easily replaced too-

I'm surprised you don't have a set of keys outside the house. 98% of the houses around here have keys on the premises somewhere, typically hidden somewhere no one would look like under a rock, or behind a porch post, porch rafter- etc...

The way I figure its always better to have a set of keys outside. If someone is going to break in and steal, more than likely they don't care about breaking a window or door. At least this way I can get in without having to go Jet Li on the door..
