Suzuki Subframe Question (If You Know Metals i.e. aluminum I Need Ur Help

For those who do not know im pieceing my gsxr 750 back together slowly from an unfortunate wreck. Anywayz one of the tabs on my subframe is bent. It is made completely out of aluminum and I was wondering if it would be ok (or not) to take a torch to it (basic propane torch, the blue bottle one, not 2 hot) to warm it up a lil so i could bend it easier? Good or bad idea and y?
