Bah. Worst news I could hear right now, my financial aid got revoked... so now I owe 1400 by the end of the semester, not including the late fees I'm going to have to pay since I can't pay it upfront, so there goes my tax return money. :(

Why did it get revoked? Did you stop going to school?
The two criteria was to have a GPA of 2.0 or above, and to have atleast a 57% pass rate, and I don't have either.
Fall 2004 - Attempted 12 credits, passed 0 classes, cumulative GPA 0.0 Winter 2005 - Attempted 8 credits, passed 1 class and withdrew 1 (I signed up for calc, but I couldn't take calc because I failed precalc, but for some reason even though I was administratively dropped from the class, they still count it as an attempted class...?) cumulative GPA 0.90 Fall 2005 - Attempted 12 credits, passed 3 classes, cumulative GPA 1.91. Attempted 32 credits, passed 16. Cumulative GPA 1.91. |
oh, that sucks man.
how do you fail that many classes?
well the first semester I wasn't ready for college. I tried to tell my parents that, but they wouldn't listen. All through highschool I would blow off doing homework and paying attention, I'd just take the tests and ace them and then pass the class with atleast a B-. Then I get to college and find out what it's like to have teachers that don't speak english, teachers that say "You should already know this, so I'm not going over this..." and teachers that speak in such a monitary tone that you'd think you have ADD because you just can't pay attention it's so friggen boring and you HAVE to leave. So yeah, that was my fall semester, that's how I failed my 3 classes. Then for winter 2005 I only signed up for 2 classes, someone told me "You can register for a class even though you don't meet the prereq, I never took precalc but I took calc..." so I said ok and signed up for calc because I understood precalc, I just didn't do the homework and flunked the class. Any case, first day of class I was told that I couldn't take the class because I didn't meet the prereq. The teacher specifically told me that the main office would administratively drop me from the class, to not worry about it. A month later, I'm going to my academic probation advisor and she says I'm still enrolled in the class. I go "WTF? The professor told me the main office would administratively drop me." "No, you have to do that on your own, and now that it's a month into the class, you can't get a refund for the class. You have to drop it and get a W."
So yeah, my first two semesters of college SUCKED ***. Fall 2005 kicked *** though, I had great professors that were interesting and spoke english. This semester all three of my professors are foreign, two of them have heavy accents, but both are known for having HUGE curves for grading. Ah well, we'll see. |
That sucks about the whole administratively dropped class... I would be pissed about that.
thank god the only teacher that I have with an accent is a lit teacher with a slight annoying southern one.
accent* lol...
My favorite teacher has an african accent... hes so ******* cool though. I consider him more of a friend than a teacher. |
there I fixed it.. im a tard
that sucks i did the same thing with school tried taking a bunch of classes my first semester then either dropped or just didnt go to pretty much all of them so this semester i have to try and get some decent grades
