They dont even have to witness the racing and if they even THINK your car is a "drag racing car" it gets taken away.

Get-U-$um 04-25-2005 10:46 PM

Oh and just like when they sieze weed. No, the car doesnt have 75K in it. Much closer to 20 or 25K tops. Pigs, off. Little bitches that need to dress up to feel power. en glorified drag queen bitches. :knock_tee

B6T 04-25-2005 11:52 PM

That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard!

biggy 04-26-2005 12:50 AM

thats not right, you cant have police saying "i think that you were racing so therefore you were" thats total bullshit and impedes on individual rights :knock_tee

SirChirpAlot 04-26-2005 01:05 AM

What do u think will happen in court?

biggy 04-26-2005 01:09 AM

thats gotta get thrown out. no court with a respectable judge would every say thats right.

Strokerace 04-26-2005 01:53 AM

Well, not sure were this place is, but it could happen. Legally, I don't think it could, but even is the cops here did, they could hold it until it come up in court. Court dates could be anywhere from 30 to 60 days away for first appearance. So with a $150 hook up fee, $2.50km, plus $30 a day, that could really add up. Not sure if they could hold it that long, but the laws are changing so often, no one except the cops and lawyers know about them.

djthouseofboom 04-26-2005 04:40 AM

damn...

Freakin' police. Bet that officer in the pic prolly took that car for a boot and got the scared out of him...no officer, that car prolly has more balls then ur laptop filled cruiser.

Ya know, if the police in toronto and surrounding area started promoting street racing, but supervised it...things would be much better, even if they has a small entry fee to the streets where the races were, it would also bring some money back to the city. I heard they do that up in Missasauga.

Well thats almost right, in Mississauga if you race the cops don't charge you$$. You only have to pay to watch. :smilie_au

" a estimatated $75 000 into it to soup it up"

it looks like a 5L to me

Get-U-$um 04-26-2005 05:37 PM

Its a 9 second car, BUT a 9 second mustang with either a ford or chevy smallblock with nitrous and various used parts can be built for prolly 6-7 grand IN THE states. Here.add 10 grand.

Alex 04-26-2005 08:17 PM

30 seconds later the guy who made that estimate ate a $30,000 twinkie

I don't know Mustangs that well, but that doesn't look like a 5.0L engine to me... it looks more like the 4 cylinder. And it sure as hell looks like a stock Mustang rather then a $75,000 Mustang. I think you'd be able to at least see something shiny under the hood if there actually were that much money in it. I'd bet that article is a just something the local police created to strike fear in street racers. Either way that cop looks like a retard standing beside the supposed $75,000 100% stock Mustang he confiscated.

jdmsleeper 04-27-2005 12:19 AM

yeah 75k is enough coin to have made 5+ cars approach the 10 second region or more... maybe whoever appraised the car got it mixed up some some luxury exotic

EMAGDNIM 04-27-2005 09:46 AM

ITs to make the article more filling to the reader...

Kinda like "OMG, Im glad the cops are doing there job, taking that dangerous street racing car off the strees" type of thing...

Tatal BS :eyes:

Orthow 04-27-2005 11:03 AM

It says the car belonged to a Hispanic Male from the Bronx..

Id like to see this help up in court..

Oh yea the car is an 1987 Rustang....how the hell did he cram 75 grand worth of goods in there, that are Automotive related! lol

It indeed is a mustang, with at least a stock body, or body appearance, maybe hes got a $50,000 gold plated TKO 6-speed tranny and a complete adjustable 4-link rear end....

Fred, it is indeed a 5L...87 from the factory were Injected, but if u look closely at the pic, u can see what is a 4Bbl holley OR demon carbeurator with no air cleaner on it....so it was converted, maybe even a "built" 351W swapped in there....who knows? but there definently isnt $75,000 into that car, if there was it wuld be one of the most talked about and fastest Fox Body's out there..... :retard:

Anyways....wherever that is, the community is :supergay:

wow the ing pigs of today are sad. I was gona be one but from what ive been seein lately, its just pathetic... and this little newpaper article just further proves that point.

Heh I guess everyone slacks in their jobs, we are just seein cops do it more now. they wonder why ppl have no respect for them, i think they are pissin more ppl off now then they are helping.

ill stop now before i bitch a lot about this hahaha

Dimitri 04-27-2005 06:45 PM

Maybe they should make a law that makes everyday citizens repo police officers cars, and make them walk their overweight lazy asses down to the next donut shop for excercise.

Just another dumb law that perpetuates society into a "Police State".

i drive a 88 5.0 LX and i just put in $9000 into the internals so it still looks bone stock well after we did some disgusing of the intake and headers and other small stuff. But i can tell you right now 75k i dont care how hard to try u cannot hide that much money goin into ur motor alone. And even still the most ive ever heard of being spent on one piece of a 5L was a 12k tranny in an 8 sec n/a 351 so u do the math 12-75=$63,000 to put into ur motor now thats a lil far fetched for me. Oh and by the way what happens when the guy loses his car they put it into a police auction and some dad buys it for his 16 year old kid that ends up killing himself with it.

Z28 MeTaL HeAd 04-28-2005 05:15 PM

^Even $9k into a SBF 302 is far fetched for internals...i mean, WTF r they made of?? a complete 4340 stroker rotating assembly COMPLETE with balancing doesnt even cost that much with 4340 H beam rods....i mean, yea, u can put a lot more than that into a 5L motor but on just internals? u must have sum crazy adjustable pushrods, crazy roller-rockers, a titanium cam and lifter set...only way i can see such a high price tag is if u have a very crazy set of heads....like sum AFR 200cc aluminum heads or sumthing....

-Jay

4cyl5.0 04-29-2005 06:35 PM

it was 5 for internals then another 3 for tires exhaust frame connectors and lentec aod valva body

Z28 MeTaL HeAd 04-30-2005 10:56 AM

^So i was right, u dont have $9k into the internals...

i can def. see $9k for SFC, valve body on an AOD (i dont know why that would be expensive, cuz really ur just putting a shift kit in the car, and thats sub $100 for a C4 or even say a C6) and exhasut can get pricey sumtimes, and tires for sure....

sounds like it would be a strong running 5.0...

-Jay

4cyl5.0 04-30-2005 02:44 PM

i pick it up monday i love the stock look of the engine but i dont know if i shoulda went with dumps i just didnt want anyone seeing the 3 inch exhaust kinda kills it here for racing alot of guys around here wanna see the engine before they go so i put the 5.0 HO plate on the intake and painted it silver. Cant wait to go to the track and be like man its just exhaust and tires thats all.
