Tiremag ruined my wheel
 

If anyone here is considering going to Tiremag in Concord, Ontario. Read this first.

I had my wheels powdercoated last year. They are a little brighter than the factory colour. I needed to get a puncture fixed and I was really really worried about somebody scratching my wheel. After researching here and there I decided to go with Tireworks.

BIG ****ING MISTAKE. I told them 2 times, PLEASE be careful. My wheels are not a factory colour. If anything happens, all 4 will have to be re-done.

I go to pick up my wheel and here's what I see:

About 1/5th of the "lip" has been shaved. It's hard to see in the pictures because it's so bright but you can see the damage.

Of course they deny it happened there. One guy said it must have happened before I brought it in.

To make matters worse, I bought in 2 other wheels to get serviced. I asked that one of the tires be flipped when re-mounted. Even put a HUGE sticker on the tire saying "PLEASE FLIP INSIDE OUT". I get home and find out they flipped the other one.

So if you want to pay a bunch of monkeys to work on your wheels and mess up your wheels, go to Tiremag. Thankfully I bought the wheels there in the back of my van. If I had brought them there on my car I'm sure they would have forgotten to put lugnuts back on

I had a similar thing happen to me last week. Went to a GM dealership to have the rubber replaced on one of my wheels due to punture in the sidewall. I drove home, took it out of the bag and noticed about a 1 inch area of the wheel about halfway down one of my spokes where the paint was completely gone. Don't know how they managed that but I kn ow it was done there and not before it went because on that very same day I washed the rim and saw nothing.

Ouch that sucks. You almost always have to watch what their doing. They didn't offer anything to compensate?

that sucks. theres only one place i go to and its in niagara on the lake, its some backwoods shop but theyve been around forever and they have an aluminum rim machine, so theres never contact with the rim. and ive had dozens of tires changed there and not once have i ever seen even scuff on my rims

One word!!! Tires 23. Numerous times they did staggered, stretched fitment on my wheels, no damage tires aligned perfectly and balanced.

Are you kidding me? That's a CTS-V... faster in a straight line and faster in the corners than anything you have. Can't wait for the new one BMW, Mercedes, and Audi should be scared! :sgrin:

this guy is going around causing on the board so dont worry about him. plus check out his info, he drifts a nitrous fed camry. i bet its closer to a camel than a camry camel

I just wanted to let everyone know about my experience with tiremag (Steve) I went in last week to get a set of rims and tires for my friends car and her brothers, let me tell you that it was the worst time ever, first of all when i went in there was only one person working (Steve) and he was sitting on the phone talking to his wife or his girlfriend not caring about people standing there before me. 30 min. later i went up to him and asked to see what rims can fit my friends car, it took him 10 min. just to find out what rims can fit, then he would run around between the showroom and the back of the shop pretending to do something. :dunno: when i got him to stop running around and picked the rims that we wanted i asked him what tires i can get on the rims, he suggested Nexen n3000 but they dont make the size that we needed. so far we were there for an hour just to pick the rims, 30 min. after i lost it and asked him for a price, he told me that it would be around $1800 for 18' chrome rims and tires :hypnotize then i asked him how long will it take to get them on the car, his reply was " i'll have to call you back the next day" i gave him my phone number and we left. 5 days later still no phone call :nono: so i go in today and ask him why he didn't call me, his responds was " the rims that you picked dont fit your friends car" and i said to him you couldn't call me and tell me that, he said that he forgot :confused::confused: anyways today i called factory tires and they offered me the same rims and better tires $500 cheaper.

overall that was the worst experience ever i wouldn't recommend anyone going to tiremag, you will get ripped off and the service is the worst ever. :thumbsdow:thumbsdow
you are better off driving a little further but i promise you that you'll get a better price and service somewhere else. There're alot of tire shops like wheels direct, factory tires :smilie_da, steve's tires and many more that are 100 times better and nicer people to deal with then STEVE in Tiremag. HE IS A MONKEY

Tiremag sucks dont go there, dont waste your time, dont waste your money, dont waste your energy. ( steve sucks)

You were at Tiremag on Saturday March 7th 2009 at 9:30 at 9:33 you were talking to Steve, you mentioned that you are waiting for your girlfriend and her brother to show up to see some rims for her car. I don’t know what kind of watch you wearing but that is only 3min. not 30min.
Multitasking is part of our job if it looks that we are running around that’s because we want to make sure all the customer will get fare amount of attention and the jobs gets done if you do not understand that probably you have not worked hard enough in your life.
Finding an aftermarket rim and tire for Jaguar it’s not a 1, 2, 3, task it need some extra time to check the proper fitment 10min. of checking could save hours of waiting In the work shop or worst on the side of the road.
Monday March 9th 2009 8:00 am “Not 5 days later” you have been told, that specific rim is not available for Jaguar (keep in mind we are closed on Sundays)
The funny part is because we are Dvinci Dealer we wholesale rims to the other tire stores and they contacted us and we mentioned to them that, this rim is out of stock so that $500 for the same rim story is total B.S.
To make the long story short, real side of story and your character is you started making anti Semitic comments and making raciest comment about Blacks, those comment were insulting, disgusting and not acceptable so we had to ask you to get your stuff and live.

So clearly this is not a case of customer service this is total fabrication of story It looks like you had more issues with other people if you were not happy with the service why you were making those comments instead of complain??? Your deed speaks.

Hey g. I know what your talking about, i had exact same thing happened to me, i went in tiremag not too long ago and that mothe***** steve did the same to me. Anywho i went over to steves tires down the steret and got the same tires $200 less. Hey f*** you tiremag you can su** my d***.

Hey George thanks for your post it really help me make my choice.
I went to tiremag on monday to see what they can do for my ride, i have ford f-150 harley davidson. i was lokking for 20' or 22', i liked one set of 22' and asked the guy in the front for a price. It took him 20 min. to come up with the number and its was $4000. I thought to my self its not that bad for 22'. I went home did some research and ended up reading George's post on tiremag. So i called factory tires and made an appointment for wensday.


I just got back from Factory tires and thank god i did the research because for the price Tiremag gave me i got 24' for my truck. Thats right 24' for $4000 tax included and warranty both on rims and tires.

Tiremag sucks they will reap you off blind. I could've been just another victim of there lies. Dont go There !!!

I can't believe they're still in business. Keep bumping this thread to make sure everyone sees it.

tell me about it, apparently there're new owners now and still they keep that idiot (Steve) in the front. What they dont know is that the only reason the previous owner sold it was because they weren't making any money and the reason for this is because that monkey in the front stealing it all. They dont give receipts, they dont have any record of any transactions unless they are credit or debit. You would think that because of this it would be cheaper but no he charges the same without any warranty to either your rims or tires, more then that they sometime fu** up the rims to fix them again and charge you twice because you cant prove anything, because you dont have a receipt.

ANYWAYS MY ADVICE TO YOU IS STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE LIARS AND CHEATS
