This is what happens when the cops take away the street racers cars! TTC Violence Hits YouTube For World To See Amateur video capturing foolishness and appearing on sharing websites like YouTube.com is an old story, but a recently posted video that features extended fisticuffs on a packed TTC has recently surfaced, causing a major public relations problem for Toronto's public transit system. The video was captured on one of the city's all night bus routes, officially known as the Blue Night line, but affectionately dubbed "The Vomit Comet" by frequent late night riders. In it multiple individuals exchange glancing blows for more than three minutes, with limited interjection from passengers or the driver, the TTC's lone representative. Similar amateur videos have been posted on YouTube in recent years, routinely snagging thousands of hits. In this case however, the incident highlights precisely the reason that 10,000 new security cameras will soon be added across the TTC. The commission hopes it'll stop people from pursuing their 15 minutes of online infamy. "We don't have a control over Youtube-type videos," said TTC Chair Adam Giambrone. "Clearly it makes people aware of the problems, which is important." Of course the video in question is hardly the only instance of such behaviour on the TTC, and much more serious instances of violence between riders and even staff have occurred in the past, but Giambrone insists those moments are the exception not the rule and that in general the system remains safe. "This is nothing new," he said. "What's happening last week will probably happen in the next couple of weeks and the point here is that overall crime is not dramatically up on the TTC." The TTC also has plans to add more special constables to patrol subway cars and buses. |
watching that makes me so mad. I hate people with a "fight" mentality. if you're the kind of person who gets off on fighting and looking tough, especially on a packed TTC where there are CLEARLY people who dont find it as enjoyable as you, then you're also the kind of person who doesnt deserve to breath air. perhaps some exhaust fumes would do them good.

Lol that's nothing. I've seen enough fights on the bus and subway. The best was when two rival groups went full out at Don Mills station.

This is scary man... i take TTC to work everyday, I've seen so many conflicts. But one of the main reason is when there's delay by TTC, specially when people need to transfer to bus whent he subway is disable... I just hope there's a better and safer system.

Stupid hotheads ruining everyone else's day. They should have just gotten off the bus and settled their problems there like men and let everyone else get on with their day.

Personally though, the incidents I find eerie on the TTC is when a random person in a close proximity (that looks normal) starts yelling out stuff about jesus, the apocalypse and such. |

yo man stuff always happens on the ttc, ill share one of my experiences with you guys.
on the way back from stc with a friend, some baby thugs got on the bus at woodside square and told me to give up what i had in my bag (mind you with at least 20-25 people on the bus). i was in complete shock, ive never been robbed before, and i was damned if it was going to happen that day by a couple 14 year olds. so basically i told them to **** off. the biggest one came up to me and tried to be a badass but i stood up and he realized i was 6 inches taller and had about 50 pounds on his scrawny ass, as well my buddy stood up and we're about the same size, only difference is hes white and dresses gino-like so obviously these kids had more numbers but they knew they were about to get rocked so theyre like **** you and walked to the back and sat down. i had a good laugh out of it with my friend and we both cracked up, you shoulda seen the look on these kids faces. we got back and told the story to everyone the next day at school, they had quite a hoot. goes to show that they only get at you when they see you're alone. FCUK TTC! |
And to think more toronto people are moving to my town every day Yaaaaaah !! . and bringing their kids with them . Double Yaaaaah.
Its so sad you can tell toronto people just by how they drive , order stuff in a drive thru , walk on the sidewalk , push a shopping cart down a crowded aisle, their kids behaviour. Does anyone know how it started . they both looked white , so its not likely some body called the other guy a f, in ********* ( choose which ever name you prefer) or something . The most annoying thing about that vid is the chick that kept screaming . Oh shut up . I got my ol lady trained that if there,s gonna be some stuff goin on , just to walk away an go get in the car .
