Just look how far turbos have taken 4-bangers. Theres turbo 4bangers running 6's now. I feel in love my first time riding in a boosted car, and it's been nothing but turbo for me since. I've heard turbos being referred to as "the displacement replacement" to counter the old saying "there's no replacement for displacement".

While I agree with that statement to a point... and more and more manufacturers now are going boost to keep engine size down, which means better emissions, fuel economy, etc..

BUT IF you put a turbo on a big displacement motor, you will make more power...

Either way, boost is awesome I agree... but there are still times where a really nice N/A engine is still damn sick :smilie_da

But it all depends on the car and use.

i have to agree nothign like the sound of an N/A car.

Inline six + high boost + external wastegate > N/A sound
