UltraViolet

2nd worst movie I have ever seen (and thats saying ALOT).

The first movie on my crap list is Alexander.....and the only reason I ranked it worse than UltraViolet is because of the homo-eroticism between Colin Farrell & Jared Leto. At least in Alexander you get to see some boobies.

Now, I didn't go into this movie expecting some intricate plot or masterful acting, just a good 'ol sci-fi / action flick with loads of special effects and weapons. Y'know, something kind of like Doom. Doom was pretty lacking in the story department, but it made up for it with some cool as **** weapons and blowing things up. UltraViolet's special effects look like they were done with MS Paint. Its THAT bad. Her weapons system and color shifting clothing was pretty sweet.....maybe they spent too much CG money on that and had to skimp on everything else.

In conclusion...I wouldn't even watch this movie again if it came on cable TV for free. I just thought I would share this before anyone else wasted their money on this poor excuse for an action flick.

You know that many historians believe that Alexander the Great was gay/bi, right? ;)

Thats all fine & dandy......but I should have been forewarned before I saw that movie. I went in thinking I would see some bad @ss fighting & swordplay, and instead I got mediocre fighting & man-play. :banghead:

Aeon Flux was one hojillion times better than UltraViolet. When Aeon Flux comes out on DVD, its one of those that I will probably buy.

The previews for UV made it seem like it would be a kick @ss action movie, but it wasn't. The best parts of the movie are all shown in the previews.

I don't think the castig in Aeon Flux (Theron) was the right choice. I might rent both of them later, but neither looked good enough for me to dish the cash out. I'll wait for X-Men 3.

i will definatly wait for x-men 3 above all of those but aeon flux wasnt terrible and ultra violet just looks like a wanna be of aeon flux

meissen Mar 6, 2006 07:06 AM

i agree about aeon flux and ultra violet looking like the same thing. i wasn't really interested in either. Now if you want to see a cute movie that'll get you in a girl's pants, go take your girl to see Eight Under. ;) :D

Bernotas05 Mar 6, 2006 02:01 PM

mxracerbrian Mar 6, 2006 07:26 PM

camaro94 Mar 8, 2006 12:12 AM

Eight Under? You don't mean Eight Below, do you? God, that would be a horrible choice for someone to take me to.
