VFN Sunco Hood

I was talking to some people who thought I already had the hood. When I went down for the test fit it was just that, a test fit. They told me they would knock off some of the price(ending up being $130 off the normal price) for doing that for them. Well, they are the offical advertiser's of the ProjectCamaro.com calander and in exchange I am getting the hood FREE!

Let me say that again, THE HOOD WILL COST ME ABSOLUTLY NOTHING! Sorry but I can't tell you how good it feels to say that. They didn't ask but I'm going to get one of their banner's and ad it to ProjectCamaro.com because I feel it's only needed.

archemedes 10-11-2005 06:18 PM

It's beutiful, the shop manager offered to install if for me but I declined for two reasons:
1. I already know it fits since I'm the one who test fitted it
2. I hate people that have aftermarket parts on their car's that aren't painted. Paint first install second.

camaro94 10-13-2005 12:18 AM

awesome, can't wait to see it painted and installed.

What was that about hating people that have aftermarket parts on their cars that aren't painted? :banghead:

Sorry but I just picture a ricer that bought a big body kit and didn't realize it costs more to paint it and drives it around forever like that.

archemedes 10-13-2005 12:48 AM

like when the primer is faded?

camaro94 10-13-2005 12:56 AM

I'va always prefered to hold off and install everything right before paint, but sometimes it isn't always feasible. Like when we did body work on Mayhem the first time, because we would only have 2 days, then she would have to be driven, then 2 days off, etc, etc, it ended up that way. But she's even worse right now. I just need to get some preimer and paint all of her for right now till paint.

Mike Jones 10-13-2005 06:20 PM

Oh calm down. Your situation is COMPLETELY different. In your situation it's either unpainted parts or no front end. Like I said I'm talking about when people buy aftermarket parts and install them before they need to. You don't have a choice.

archemedes 10-13-2005 07:39 PM

and they all match anyway

Mike Jones 10-25-2005 07:25 PM

Haven't posted much, I'm going to paint the hood myself.
My brother's done a automotive painting before so he'll do most of it. I didn't say this before but VFN was nice enough to prime and sand the hood down. They normally don't do this and they didn't do it to my last hood but I guess they like me. I'm still going to put a couple layer's of primer on and sand it myself just to feel safe though.
