Its the Canon Powershot S3 IS, 6mp, not an SLR nor does it have manual zoom, but I think thats a great price for what it is... what do you camera buffs think?

Phate 01-30-2007 05:12 PM

Oh, and what do you recommend as per memory sticks?

SOMBirdV6 01-30-2007 05:15 PM

nice camera

Id save up and get an SLR if you want one... youre going to be working a ton, so just use some extra money if you really want a good cam.

Yea, but my tastes are a bit too high for my budget. The camera I 'want' would cost me like 1.5g's+

paarman97maro 01-30-2007 09:45 PM

So get somthing in your budget then.

This is about my budget at the moment, cause 400 for the cam and card is still expensive.

So nobody ever answered, what type of memory stick do you recommend?

woody80z28 02-01-2007 09:50 PM

I have that camera at work and I love it. Videos are especially nice.

i personally use compact flash, but any kind of memory is going to do the same thing.

and i would save for an slr, i think you would be way happier in the end.

I agree. But I just cant justify to myself spending that much money on a camera. Im a cheap bastard.

Phate 02-01-2007 10:14 PM

How much difference am I going to see in the type of memory stick I get? I know the size part, but is there anything in particular I should be looking for?

Mikerock 02-01-2007 10:45 PM

not really, just don't buy sony. they never seem to want to work with anything else. i would say secure digital or compact flash is your best bet. but again it all depends on the camera and what its brand.

and i thought the same thing about spending so much money, but i ended up doing it anyways and now i wont even use a regular digital camera.

MyFirstCamaro 02-01-2007 10:53 PM

:woot: as long as i can get my pictures back from the car shows i am a happy camper
