The Calgary Stampede took off in full force on Friday, and it's been wild. The city almost literally doubles in size during Stampede Week. It is awesome, you amurrrricans would do yourselves well to come check it out. C'mon Paar, hot drunk Canadian girls, you know you wanna.
My weekend was also taken up by my pressure washing my deck, since the friggin' tree in the front yard blew seeds all over it. I later took my bike apart and washed and polished/waxed every painted bit on it. She looks beaaaautiful.
I also backed up and formatted my laptop at home, reinstalled XP Media Center Edition, and finally set up my Xbox 360 to act as a Media Center Extender. So all the movies I download no longer need to be burned to DVD+R. I'm picking up a 500 GB external hard drive to store the movies on, then I'm going to retire this laptop to reside under my HD Satellite box in the entertainment unit so it can be hardwired into the network. Should I need to access it, I'll just use remote desktop from my other PC.
