Whats with older women and LS1s

Im telling u...there are like 2-3 older ladys (60s maybe?) that one drives a white z28 and the other drives a dark purple t/a. Let me tell you these women get around town haha. Everytime I see them there car is always clean and they always smile at me its weird. The lady with the t/a use to come to my work when I worked there and said her husband drives a cammed ss im like...wow......why cant my parents be like this haha. My mom drives a accord :(

yea i see a lot of older women in LS1s for some reason... i guess its a nice sports car and most of them are new and in nice condition which they want and can afford.

I see more older women in Mustangs here. Most Mustangs here are driven by older women, or teenage boys. Mostly older men in LS1 F-Bodies.

For some reason I get pissed off when I see old ladies in SS's or any car thats fast... I never see them utilize all that power

Do you buy a 4WD off-road vehicle for the street? no

Yup, when I was shopping for an LS1, there was a black SS in Maumelle with an, i'd say maybe 60-65 year old woman in it, I asked her if she'd be willing to sale it, since it had 13k miles on it and was an 01, and she looked at me like i was crazy and told me "honey, i'm absolutely in love with this car, and i won't sale it till the day I die." FAWWK! That's a true F-Body fan at heart ;)

Well, you don't know for sure. Some people are neglectful of taking their vehicles for their regular maintenance. You know she probably didn't hammer it much though.

Sad thing is 99% of them have no idea what their driving.

meissen 11-15-2005 01:49 PM

Yeah the lady drove it to and from work, a mile away. In the 8 years she had it, she only put 34k on it. Drove it through one winter, but then she hit a patch of ice and to avoid hitting the car infront of her, she swerved into a snow bank. Didn't do too much damage, tore up the front bumper cover tho (that's why I replaced my entire front bumper cover before I had it painted)

Dude, your story is IDENTICAL to the one of my old camaro, woman drove it for 9 years and put 32k miles on it driving it to and from work less than a mile away. the only part that doesn't fit is the whole snow bank part heh, we don't get snow in arkansas :(
