Why do people think their car is worth sooo much???

Why do people think their car is worth sooo much???
I decided to start a thread because I cant believe how people try to sell a car for soo many thousands above the actual value of the car.
For example.. Ive seen soo many civic owners tryin to unload there economy cars for too much. your rusted 93 civic is not worth 3500 or more.... as much as you try to tell your self when you goto bed at night, that "Ma civs da bom yo" The fact is in the morning after you wake up from your wet dream because you were dreaming that your car is worth more then it was new.. it still sits out side with many kms. a rusted body. and a 17 year old owner. fact is it is still only worth a 1000 buxs.
Im not bashing civics at all I had a 2000 SiR and loved it. I eventually sold it for 7500..... a good deal i thought..
as I look at more and more for sale posts. i ask my self what are people stupid now adays? for either asking as much as they do.. Or people that actually pay it? Ive been reciently looking at alot of car ads because im looking for the right car I want.
Modifications. upgrades and nice paint will only raise a cars value so much. after that,. it actually makes more money and sence to sell the car stock, and sell the parts sepratly.
Thinking that your RHD vehicle is worth soo much more then our usdm cars is getting old. yes its nice to be able to actually get the skyline here and all the fun cars we miss out on here in canada... but just because you have a hmmm Let say del slo. just because you have the inconvience of a rhd car, does not mean its worth more then a convient LHD car.. And people dont tell me that having a RHD car is not inconvient. lol... lets think.. DRIVE THRUs?, um oo a big one.. PASSING.. yea thats no fun... LOl ive driven a RHD car before it is definitly interesting.. and I was and am still thinking about getting one. Im in no way bashing them at all... Im just using it as a example.
I just wanted to find out why people ask for soo much money for there cars? when they think there nice with there tupperware body kits and lamo doors or houla girl air freshner. lol....
post your 2 cents. or even post a link to a stupily over priced car from any other sites you know and we can all laugh at it in here..

I don't know the car market here in Ontario quite yet, so perhaps it's a supply vs. demand issue, but I would'nt say that you "can't" get a Del Sol for under $12K, because you can.
