Work

As most of you know I haven't had a job in three weeks. Yes I've been loving it and I haven't had this much time without having to go to work since I was a JR in high school so the much needed rest has been very good.
Since I am going back to school this year I've been looking for a job that pays hourly so I don't have to worry about always working 50+ hours while only getting paid for 40 hours. Well I've gone through a couple interviews with Johnson Bank(Owned by Johnson & Johnson which is like 20 mins from my house) and right now I'm considering an offer made by them.
It'll be for just a normal type position. Best part is the location.
According to Google Maps the drive is 41 seconds and a total of 123 feet. Yes I said feet. I go directly from my condo's parking lot to the banks parking lot so I don't have to worry about any traffic whatsoever.

Here's a map to show how close it is. Please ignore the l33t photoshop skills, I'm still trying to teach Adric how to really use photoshop. Someday he'll learn :lolsign:

The red is my condo, the blue is the bank, and the green line is my drive to work from where I park the Accord. Honestly I'll probably just walk to work since it's so close when it's nice out.

Since my other jobs were salary I was suppose to be at work 15-30 mins before my shift but since this one is hourly I'm not allowed to be there more than five mins early. Plus since it's not salary I won't be staying way past my scheduled shifts. That means I'll leave for work five mins before my shift and be home five mins after it ends. I'd like to see anyone else try to beat that!

Oh and we were wrong about my wife's job. We thought her pay was going to be about $200 a month less by itself than what we made together. After getting her first full two week paycheck we've realize her pay is the exact same of what we made together before. Maybe and I mean maybe a $50 difference. That means we're going to live off her paychecks and all mine will just go into savings so we'll be able to save up a lot faster than before. Plus since we're paying my college with cash we won't be going into any kind of debt.

Congrats man! Are you starting back to college in the fall? Where? That job sounds perfect...no gas consumed going or coming, no working over, and no pressure from the management BS.

I know how it is, I've been a resturant manager since I was a teenager. When everyone in my family would have BBQ's and such for holidays I NEVER was able to join since I worked every single holiday as well.

I'm not going to mention how much money I make but I'm getting paid more than anyone else because I made a lot more as a manager at Panera than this job normally pays.

I was supposed to start at Fedex on Mon.,but got offered a job at UPS on Fri.,so I worked at UPS this week.I had an interview today at Eder flags here in Oak Creek, and they hired me right away,so I already quit UPS.
The job at Eder is more hours than UPS,otherwise that would have been a good job.

haha, i thought i was lucky with my work being approximately a song away, but thats ridiculous.
