XBox Live Question

Ok obviously I just signed up for XBox live and thus far am loving it. But my sign-in on my xbox is Chad and when I signed up for Live it created a new one named ChadChop. Now when I check my stats online it shows as if I have never played any of the games since they are all saved under my other sign-in name.
Is there anyway to merge these two so my Live and Sign-In are the same and so I don't have to replay the games to be able to play certian levels online?
Thanks

Thats why you get live right away haha... Yeah Im not sure.. I got live before I got any achievements. Just **** around with your live name settings and see if you cant figure it out... somehow I changed my offline name to my online name only since they were different.. but again this was probably before I achieved anything.

Well I found the answer - http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/sy...ineprofile.htm

So basicly it's overly complicated and you have to use 1600 Microsoft Points. I checked the price of them on their site and I would have to spend $44.00 to do this. What a joke!!

Alright I think I know what I'm going to do. Once my 3 month Live subscription is up I'll cancel my live account, change my offline profile to ChadChop and then creat a new Live account using that name so they'll work together. I have a whole lot less to lose this way.

Good call, I was wondering about this as well. I'll do that same thing after my 1 month trial.

$44 for 1600 points? WTF?

At best buy it's $20 for 1600 . . . they're trying to pull a fast one on you.

and see what real aiming is like

Yeah 1600 points is $20 chad, I just bought some not too long ago.

PC comes with as many problems as a console. have to make sure your hardware is compatible, which you dont have to worry about with a console. Have to download a patch, which xbox does for you if you need it. And you dont have to wait 3 hours for the game to install. I like PC gaming also, but the 360 has been much more convenient for me. Ill get used to a new aiming system for that.

Heres another question. I have all my large save files (forza etc) on my roomates harddrive, and none on my memory stick thing.... is there anyway to put my memory stick in his xbox and transfer my saves?? or do I have to start completely over. :p plz god no

paarman97maro Jan 7, 2008 05:32 PM

Yes I would assume you could use a flash drive. Only thing is, I dont know how you transfer saved games... I know you can transfer demos/pics/movies **** like that, but I havent tried it yet. I keep meaning to get an external, this 20 gig has been nearly full several times. Maybe Ill pick up a hard drive later this week and try it out.

Most likey not since its under your roomates gamertag. If you were able to pull that off im sure everyone would have thier gamer points maxed out.

paarman97maro Jan 7, 2008 07:52 PM

oh yeah I guess I didnt think about its under someone elses gamertag. owned.

Mike Jones Jan 7, 2008 09:44 PM

Oh Paar I checked my offline profile, I only have 1750 points or whatever you call them. Still a lot more than my 100 on my online profile.

squirrelishere Jan 7, 2008 10:26 PM

Couldn't you just recover your gamertag from before? I'm not sure it works with old accounts. But here at home is where I signed up with my gamertag. When I go to my bro's friend's house, I click on "Recover gamertag" on his xBox and it lets me get my name from there. Have you tried that with your old one?
