Intrepid

Hey all. i got an 04 Intrepid. Ive done a few things to it just to make it nicer, but I was wondering if anyone knows of anything I can do to the engine like a supercharger or a turbo set up? Its a 2.7 DOHC V6 of course and auto.

So far I have put in leather seats, auto dim mirrors, HID's, ATC controls, I have 17" 300M chrome wheels, aftermarket deck, Car does good runs high 14's 200HP and 200lbft TQ

Any suggestions asides from selling it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you actually timed the car on the strip? High 14's sounds tooy good for that power and weight...

On the street it has been timed. I havent yet to have it on the strip. Im thinking high 15's to low 16's on the strip. Yes car weight about 5000 lbs. So its got some weight behind it.

the 2.7 is kinda shitty the 3.5 has decent power i've seen modded 3.5's out there alright i would look into getting another car if you wanna get serious power though the 2.7 is not a good platform for what your trying to do

Yeah. I want to upgrade to the 3.5 HO or maybe even do a swap from the magnum with the Hemi???? Convert to RWD if I could get the cash... But I have seen soem members on the local trep boards Twin Turbo their Treps! Its pretty damn sweet.

Anyone know if the Powerchip thingys that optimize the computers would work with my car????

I also know of the Kenny Bell Optimizer that works with my car.

first off, the 2.7 motor is crap seems peppy but it isnt...too heavy of a platform to be quick especially in that chassis...now as for that car
Magnum and 300 and charger parts dont fit what so ever even the 3.5 mags and intrepid...nothing fits...
The best bang for the buck is SELL it and get a better platform

I reccommend if you want that motor buy a Sebring Less weight to propel yourself quicker...

I dunno? I like my 2.7 Its good for what I need... I dont need the 3.5 too pricey on gas like they all say. Buy a civic.?? Umm no> LOL... Everyones got one of those. I have an accord in my driveway thats done up. Next is a lifted GMC2500 if I get anything!

...

my parents have an intrepid 2.7L and to tell you the truth, it's fast for that much weight (not one civic has beat me :thumbsup ). a turbo wouldnt fit..a supercharger maybe, but make sure u get the exhaust, intake and all the basics first.

2.7L will never ever do a 14 sec 1/4 mile run...my dad has a 2003 300m special..it has the 3.5L and it does about a 16.5 sec in the 1/4...the 3.5L is 255 HP the 2.7L is about 190-200 HP...the 2.7L probably runs about a high 17 sec quater mile!!!

how did u time it on the street and come up with a 14sec???
