FTA Satellite Help

Im a total newb when it comes to this. I havnt actually bought anything FTA Satellite related yet because I want to figure out exactly what I need and how it works before I spend the money. I have a couple questions.

1. I seem to be finding 2 different types of channel lists when I look for them. 1 channel list has all foreign channels like found here http://www.gosatellite.net/fta_master_list.htm

While the channels that interest me are found here http://dishchannelchart.com/

My question is, what dish and reciever will I need to get the channels in the
2nd link? I see alot of the channels I want have a 110* or 119* by them. Will any dish pick up both these? Also whats the difference between the E*7 Satellite and E*8 Satellite found in that list?

2. Do I need to have the internet if I get a satellite? I know you use the internet to update your reciever, but do I need it in my house? ( I do have access to it, just not at my house)

3. Do I need a motorized dish?

4 What size dish is best for what I need?

5. Ive read that the Viewsat with the USB plug is good, is this true?

If someone that knows about this can PM and help me out a bit i'd appreciate it.

any dish except starchoice ones will pick up the 110 and 119, and yes you need the internet in order to get the free program files and bin files to load onto your satellite receiver, or you can pay someone to do it for you for like $10 everytime it goes down, and you dont need a motorized dish, you just need a regular 18" dish with a dual LNB bracket and 2 seperate LNB's in order for you to get the 110 and 119 satellite signals, and as for the viewsat, yes they are one of the best receivers to chose as they have a usb loaded that sits in the front panel of the unit, and try and get the viewsat ultra as it is one of few that cannot be cloned.

yeah, but it is still the best receiver I think..
I've had my xtreme for almost 2 years, and the only real down time was that long month or so last year in the summer... the ecm 52 or something? I forget...
Viewsat and dish and some cable cord and a disq will run you only $200 or so, and you're set to go...

yes by far viewsat has a better quality picture than any other fta that i've used and i've used most of them, even the clones of clones...lol but (f t a p r o s u p p o r t . c o m) has the latest bins out there and you get them as soon as they come out from the testers.
