The phone u'r looking @ getting is a GSM phone... which means you have to go with one of the 2 GSM providers in Canada. Fido or Rogers (Rogers owns Fido now).

All you really have to do it walk to a kiosk or a store, sign up for a plan take the sim card put it into the phone and u'r done.

The advantage you have of buying/having u'r own phone is that you don't need to sign a lengthy contract w/ the company you can pay month by month and cancel anytime afaik.

AND with number portability coming out soon.. you know all the provider will be throwing out deals, phones, and perks... ( :loser: But they'd give you all the good stuff IF you do a contract of course )
