I have asked everyone, in many different boards, including an iPod board and yet the problem still cannot be solved, let alone there hasnt been an answer for it.

Here is my problem:

All my tunes are loaded into iTunes and iTunes recognizes them... Now, sometimes iTunes cannot recognize the song so i find the path of the song and update it. A few days later, that song that i updated the path for, cannot be found again. I am not changing the location of the songs either. Any suggestions?

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software?

do you shut down itunes and yoru comptuer properly. Perhaps your music used to be in a different path and when itunes crashes or windows crashes or you don't shut it down properly it is just reverting back to the original path?
