got this tonite

HP Pavilion dv2727ca Entertainment Notebook PC (KC508UA) specifications - HP Home & Home Office Products

coolest feature is the fingerprint scanner. it was really a big selling point. so yeah, works good cause my other laptop ran into a problem with the motherboard.

judgez24 03-18-2008 07:22 AM

lol rick the problem is i dont have any money. i keep buying too much stuf i dont really need.

VindiCated 03-18-2008 10:38 AM

Nice. Did you buy it from the site? or a retailer?

judgez24 03-18-2008 04:58 PM

future shop actually. i get all my stuff through them, we know a guy who works there so because of us his commision checks are huge, haha. i baught this and my hp computer from him in the last few months, both my brothers got new computers from there aswel, actully my one brother got from him at around the same time. so in the last year weve bought 1 laptop and 4 computers

judgez24 03-18-2008 08:26 PM

turns out that everything that requires a login and password, on the computer or on the net, i can setup to acept my fingerprint. so for my online banking i dont need to plug in the account number and password anymore, i simply go to the login page, scan my fingerprint and it logs in for me. pretty sweet :D

VindiCated 03-18-2008 10:33 PM

wow, that awesome you have a FS hookup.

judgez24 03-18-2008 11:58 PM

this is making me quite lazy now, haha. although im gonna say the 12 cell battery lives for fuken ever. 4 hours ago i unplugged this thing and its set to high perf mode, max brihtness and max performance which means minimum battey life. after 4 hours of straight use, including a half hour of solitare, im only down 30 % on the battery. unreal.

DDM 03-19-2008 12:18 AM

damn. Thats a lot of battery life for a laptop. My cousin has a MDG one (stay away from mdg by the way) and it only last about 1.5-2hours fully charged:smilie_d0

Supra_RZ 03-19-2008 12:46 AM

HP All the way, i have a HP Pavilion Desktop ..had it for just over a year now , no problems at all !!!
and now i need a new harddrive lol filled up the 200 GB

judgez24 03-19-2008 07:42 AM

yeah i love my hp desktop its fantastic. my budy has an hp laptop and he doesnt seem to like it but the sales gu was saying that the hp's seem to be the way to go. and after having 2 ibm laptops and 1 ibm pc die on me, i highly doubt ill buy another ibm product. but this thing is nice, the picture is fantastic, thing even has a dvd burner with lightscribe. so i can use the webcam, take a picture of my junk, then lightscribe it onto a dvd and send it to my church....yup. lol

battery lasts forever. i finally shut it off at around 1 am last nite and it wast near half used up. thats 5 hours. i expect the ****er to get worse over time but its quite exciting for now, expecially since my old laptop only lasted about an hour

ChevyAveoRs 03-19-2008 03:25 PM

very nice laptop and the baterry life is insane on those bad boys. How much you pay for it if you dont mind me asking im lookin for a new laptop as well

judgez24 03-19-2008 05:41 PM

actually i got it for under a grand, i went to future shop expecting to have to dish out1500 or more on somethign decent. list price on this is like 999 or something, i got her a bit cheaper ;)

MarkAnthony 03-21-2008 08:18 PM

Seeing as how you had a positive experience do you mind sharing which Future Shop location you go to? I have been to some and the customer service was poor.

judgez24 03-22-2008 07:41 AM

actually i go to the one in st catharines. ive never had a problem there, eveyone i always eager to please even with bullshit stuff. i deal with an asian fellow named todd. short bald guy.

mancyk 03-31-2008 11:37 PM

nice HP, seen enough ppl with those at my school.. thing about HP is the overheat like there is no tomorrow, maybe not noticeable at first but eventually you'll see it and another thing is the charger.. plugging the laptop in and out.. the jack within the laptop gets worn out and becomes loose which ultimately makes u unable to charge the laptop and require replacemnt.. other than that HP for laptops is definitely the way to go, even though i'd grab a IBM x61 Tablet if i had the $$

judgez24 04-01-2008 08:01 AM

ill never buy anything from ibm again, theyve cost me enough money.

with this laptop hp did something smart. theyve put a tall battery on, which is weird looking and a bit of an inconvinience when having it on your lap but it leep the uit elevated an inch and a bit in the back and keeps it from laying flat. its actually a good idea. if it breaks, its got warranty so i dont care :D

WNNAFLY 04-02-2008 08:42 AM

Nice laptop,

Its nice that they have come down to a decent price range.

Did you look at Dell's at all? I have heard good and bad things about them.

judgez24 04-02-2008 09:33 AM

thanks. i was expecting to spend twice this much when i went tot he store but theyre really getting cheap now.

i didnt look at dells, not a fan of them. ive got friends with dells and all they do is complain.

you guys see the new hp computers with the touch screens? had i only waited a couple more months to buy my desktop, lol

mancyk 04-02-2008 05:31 PM

yah i was looking at HP TouchSmart IQ775 Desktop PC the other day, looks nice.. but price is $1,599.99 at the time so i rather wait till there is more models available out there

judgez24 04-02-2008 10:12 PM

the way technology is going, if you wait another month that price will be 400 bucks cheaper

jimma11 04-18-2008 10:45 AM

lilmoh15 04-18-2008 11:52 AM
