Need help removin a Virus
 

I just formatted my hard Drive and re-installed Windows....While i was installing some programs, I accidently downloaded a file with a virus called "I-DIALER" I have tried atleast 4 softwares to remove that stupid dialer and it keeps comming back....Norton, Ad-Aware, Windows Defender, and regestry cleaner all of tem detected the dialer and removed...then 2 mins later it pops back again...I must say...its pretty annoying.....

Any1 got any ideas on howto remove this ...lemme know...it would be much appreciated

you would have to go into the registry and find out where the file is that keeps reinstalling it. then delete that file and then re run the programs that you use to get rid of it. also trying deleting it in safe mode that sometimes works without any hassle of going into the registry

try spybot s&d, but i'd say google this. when i had this retarded virus thing before, i just googled it and found others with the same problems and solutions :thumbsup:

yeah that is always a good idea to google the name of the virus and then it will usually lead you to a forum where someone has already posted a solution

I tried removing it in safe mode, but the stupid thing just keeps coming back, I guess I should google it and see what I can find....

4. Verify that "Look in" is set to "Local Hard Drives" or to (C:).
5. Click More advanced options.
6. Check Search system folders.
7. Check Search subfolders.
8. Click Search.
9. If you find rasphone.pbk file, right-click the file, and then click Open With.
10. Deselect the Always use this program to open this program check box.
11. Scroll through the list of programs and double-click Notepad.
12. When the file opens, delete all the lines that are included in the sections:

i-Dialer

13. Close Notepad and save your changes when prompted.

Now Download a Decent Anti-Virus Program like AVG (Free Trial Available) and update it and run it.
This should take care of your issue.

spyware is always a royal pain to uninstall
if it's not by design, it's because of shoddy coding.
This is why it is critical to always have an up to date Virus scanner working on your system. It will prevent 99% of these issues, as it will catch them before they can infect the system.
