TV for the car

What is the best way to get good quality TV reception in your car? If it's not too expensive, I would consider getting something for those long rides or when I'm stuck on the road.

You can get cable for your car? I never knew that. I mean, I know about the DVD players, but cable? I wonder how that works? It must be all wireless, right?

I`ve only seen the dvd players for cars. If my kids were younger and we did a lot of traveling it would definitly be worth it to have one. But if your watching while your driving it`s the same as chatting on your cell phone, dangerous. I have seen the battery operated TVs that you culd take in your car but I don`t think you can get cable. Give them time and they will figure out a way if they haven`t already.

The only thing I could think to do is to get a wireless internet card of some kind and wire a carputer (a small computer that works off of your car) and stream TV from one of those internet satellite stations.

Here's a site for carputers:

Here's a site for internet satellite TV:

There are other providers for both out there, so shop around a little.

Sat TV, as far as I've read, is not possible from a moving vehicle.. however if your in the city mostly you can do the carputer and a wireless G+ wifi ( haven't seen a mini ITX compatible N/N+ card yet ).... you'll need to map your wifi signals around town to get a reasonably seamless signal with IPtv..
