actually the tranny in the challenger is an auto and has only390hp its a de tuned hemi 6.1

And the srt8 cars are 425 hp not 390

ya they say 426 hemi my cusin and i got one dynoed it sad 389.6 bhp 432 ft-lbs of torque.

it was a charger srt8

Um do you know what a 426 hemi is? its 426 cubic inches. About 7.0 litres.
They haven't put one of those in a factory production car since the very early 70s.

The srt8 hemi is a 6.1 litre rated at 425 hp at the fly wheel where all production engines are rated.
If you did dyno this car, it would have been at the rear wheels which would result in a lower number.

DC did a good job on the "retro" styling but they should have put more funds into the interior. What a disappointment.

thats not a 70s style 426hemi its a new type hemi it is a nos engine or crate engine i know this because i accedently bought new intake for an old hemi it wont fit bolt patterns off.

I didn't say it was a 1970 hemi, I said it was a 1970 style hemi. Meaning the old style.
Way different block and heads then the new 6.1 and very much the same as the one in the pick you posted, so I don't see your point.
My point was what you called a 426 hemi, was really a 6.1 new style hemi, and the new hemi does have 425 hp not 390.
