65 Mustang wont turn over!
I have a 65 mustang with the 6cyl. Last winter I went to start it, It started smoking under the hood so I immediately pulled the battery cable. Some of the wires burnt, I believe due to age. I replaced all parts of the wire harness that showed any damage. i have tried to start in now and I can't get it to turn over. The battery has been fully charged and I have replaced the starter selenoid. If you are familiar with the 65, there are 2 dash lights that come on with the key, one oil light and the other is amp, (I think.). Anyway when I turn the key to start it these lights go out but the car does not turn over. I checked the selenoid and no power coming out the side to the starter, but it is a new selenoid. Could I have one of the small connections wrong on the selenoid? Please help, I want to get it running before the cold weather hits. E-mail me at waynej@machomes.com
Thank you
