97 Ford Probe problems

Could anyone help me out?? I have a 97 Ford Probe. whenever I turn on the air, I will put it to VENT and it only goes out the defroster, same with the floor setting it only shoots out the defroster. Any suggestions?

Thanks Fellas ..

Is it electronic or mechanical? Mechanical meaning that there are cables that run from the controls to a series of flapper doors on the heater box. It sounds like one of the cables that control the flapper doors may have come off... maybe someone hit it with their shoe or something. Take a close look under the dash for anything like that.

Check the cable. When you switch it does it go to floors as well, just not bilevel or vents?

You might have to pull the dash apart to get a close look. B6T im sure has a better idea on those cars though, hopefully he will chime back in.
