Ford: 4 Door Mustang Rumors Not True
 

Ford announced today that recent internet rumors about a possible four doornot true. In a press release posted just a few hours ago, Ford promised their iconic ponycar will remain in its current form - a “unique, two-door, rear-wheel drive, 2+2 performance car.” version of the Mustang are Ford did announce, however, they do have plans for a four-door, rear-wheel-drive concept car known as “The Interceptor”. While it will be based on the Mustang’s architecture it will not be called a Mustang. More information would be available on said concept car on December 31st, and plans are to unveil the Interceptor at the 2007 North American International Auto Show.
Makes us wonder whether Ford was really planning on building a 4 door Mustang, if they were feeling enthusiasts out, or it was a total hoax. Considering the source of the information, we’re leaning towards the first and second choices. Either way, the 4 door Mustang idea… just isn’t so.

4 door mustang, not sure what the world is coming to when you need four doors in one.

can't have a 4 door mustang cause then it's a Maverick.....well, 74-78.

I seen a 4 door Mustang once. Someone took the doghouse off a 87 mustang and put it on what I believe was a Fairmont.
