GTAMC Tech Is HORRIBLE!!!
 

I was browsing over on GTAMC, and since I can't post I just browse through the tech articles and whatnot from time to time. Now, this isnt a pot shot at the GTAMC but maaan they've got some serious idiots offering tech advice. One dude says the biggest cam you can stuff in a stock 302 is an F303 :smashfrea. Another guy says to run a breather air filter on the oil filler neck on an EFI Stang cuz it would fail emmissions otherwise. Good thing they have guys like The Hawk and Overkill to set things straight. I was getting a headache reading some of the tech "advice" being handed out. I wish people would stop trying to give out advice if they dont know what the hell they're talking about. That's definitely one of my pet peeves. Almost reminds me of the great advice GUY CAR used to give out. :icon16:

This isnt a "let's bash the GTAMC" thread...... I'm just pointing out that they've got to do something about the retards giving out tech advice. If you dont know how to cook, stay the **** out the kitchen. My ass can't swim, I dont take my hairy ass into the deep end for a reason! Tech advice is a pretty important thing, you give someone the wrong advice and the next thing you know BAM you've got herpes.

Thankfully most are asking if motors have pistons, and if superchargers have belts.

Most the racers ive talked to from there have all said the same thing.Too many useles uneducated replies. But i think that starts to happens on most forums as they grow. Theres always people who dont have a clue giving advise. :knock_tee
I tend to only offer what i know or ive seen from experience. Nothing else. I dont build motors or cars... so....

Well, doesn't matter where you go - there will forever be people who DO and DO NOT know what they are talking about. It has nothing to do with the gtamc site as SS said.

There are a TON of educated people over there. You just have to figure out who to listen to - that's the tough part. However - it's not the job of a moderator or an admin to tell someone he is wrong. The bigger a site is the more UNeducated people there will be - bottom line. But I believe there are a LOT of good tech guys are over there.
