Opinions on the 94 Mk 8

I may purchase a 94 mk 8 on Tuesday any opinions on the car,
yes I know the air ride but there is a coil spring kit for it. It will
be a daily driver.

He'd take you, Friggin Ford and thier billion pound vehicles.

Though you COULD slap a Mod 5.4L in there, AND maybe a T trim or even cut a big hole in the hood and run a Whipple charger. :D

They're nice cars, they don't feel as fast as they are just due to the softness.... there's no performance feel to it, though with a coil spring conversion I'm sure that would change. Trans is sluggish, motor makes good top end power but is lacking in the low end due to the gearing and weight. Handles good but has lots of body roll. Overall, it's a nice car but it is a pig. Many of the issues like the trans softness, and how the engine responds can be taken care of with a gear change and some tuning on the computer. Personally, if you're in that kind of ballpark why not buy a 92-93 Lexus LS400 and tweak that with some nice 18" wheels????? Looks better, is better on gas, handles better and has much more room. Plus it can be found for a fairly good price.
