I have 410s in my car, they are a bit poor for fuel economy on the
highway but light to light they are great, and yes it is more of a
track gear but if the car is in good shape it can always be changed
to 355s or 373s depending what you want to get out of it.
Sorry I almost forgot to add the 4.10 0r 3.73 is how many
rotations the drive shaft makes for 1 complete wheel rotation.

well i mean light to light is great but i also want some highway havoc too..so in your opinion which would be the best ratio to get?

Alot of people like the 373 gear, I had that in my old car and it was great,
if you do alot of highway driving maybe do a 355 but if it has the 410
in it give it a shot because Ive never had an automtic stang so I dont
know how the trans gearing will act. You can also go a taller tire size
in the rear to compensate a little. Personally I think 373 is the best all
around gear but I do like my 410s to

ok thanks for the input..yea the car has 17in. rims all around ...dunno ill see how i like it.

Try it out, the fuel consumption difference between a 3.73 and 4.10 isn't very much..... maybe 1-2mpg difference. In an automatic Stang, I would stick with the 4.10s.
