So I just started to buy some new tools, my old ones are eighter lost or broken so i tought its about time i make a little investment. I decided to go the mastercraft maximum way and started buying the tools, i have used the wrenches last week and was pretty impressed about the comfort and durability of it and not to mention they look pretty nice. What do must of you guys use and whats your toughts if any about the maximums, also which brand would you recoomend. thanks

I am spoiled, my Dad used to be a mechanic, so have use of an array of tools, Snap-on, Gray, craftsmen etc.............. You can beat Snap-on but they are uber pricey I would say bang for the the Mastercraft maxxiums aren't too bad.

Mastercraft as well, but i only have a small assortmant of tools.

However, as of late and a bit more time on my hands i am trying to become more handy. LOL

Got a whole plumbing kit together with a new tool box. Time to put together a new electrical tool box and since i'm building a new garage, i may just need to step up to some air guns :p

i used alot of my brothers air tools at his previous shop and have to admit definately a quicker job but not my thing just dont feel comfortable. but i noticed u can always feel the difference between a quality built tool and crappy tool. i like snap on u can definately feel the quality in there and mac tolls are the same to me, my brother only uses mac and quality is insane and so is the dent in the old pockets there lol.

Mastercraft has good stuff with an excellent warranty. You never need any reciepts.
My 2 cents.
Doug.
P.S. Love this site.:)

I am partial to Craftsman tools. I snapped a wrench that was about 8 years old and exchanged it with no problems.
