What a bullet. I fell in love with them after I saw the get away in Stockholm videos. Amazing car.

But what was with that one mini straight where he kept in gunning it and having the rear end loose through that whole bit?

Premium Dude 01-31-2006 06:33 PM

Too much torque or drunk driver? LOL.

Tomek6 01-31-2006 07:23 PM

Sick car. He was probably showing off to the crowd how much balls the car has by letting it break loose. Thats the same track they had that 1000hp M5 on...

That was a Sierra...

Blown_mx5 01-31-2006 08:58 PM

Actually Skillton it was a Cosworth RS Escort.

Tomek6 02-01-2006 07:46 AM

Hes thinking it was the sierra cause they showed it doing donuts in the end I guess it was the bonus material. But it was actually a Ford Escort Cosworth RS that they used for the chases. They show clips of the car at the races it had a roof mounted cam n the car was red. Heres the sierra.

From the official site: Getaway in Stockholm 2
The second cult movie from the makers of Getaway in Stockholm 1 with even more excitement and wilder car chases than before. A Toyota Supra and a Ford Escort Cossworth vs. the Swedish Police - the heavy-weight champions in a documentary on street racing, a cat-and-mouse game with the Swedish Police in the night of Stockholm.

thats one Fast little bug. Love the MKII and yes that is the same track where the 1124 hp BMW E34 M5. Rudskogen, Norway, the neighbouring country to Sweden in Northern Europe.

Yes the car used in Getaway in Stockholm 2 was a red Ford Cosworth Escort RS and heres a bad pic of the actual car

and heres a better pic of another, NOT THE SAME CAR, but very alike.

, if that thing was rocking 500 HP id hit it

That Ford Escort is way better then the Ford/Mazda Escort they offered overseas, even though both were turbo and AWD. Cosworth is nice. :smokin:

actually you're not quite correct. at the end it was a ford sapphire rs cosworth (just a 4 door sierra.... but different name... sometimes referred to as the "sierra sapphire")

Never heard of "sapphire". Did it have the same name in Europe ?

Blown_mx5 02-01-2006 06:40 PM

Yep 6M is right that was a add on not the actual Gettaway in stockholm.

The Rally car at the end was A sapphire. Great car and a Euro only

it may have been a Sierra out of Britian! I would not be surprised

Nord 02-02-2006 10:10 AM

It's not this youre talking about? Don't remember if it was the 1.st or second movie it appeard in the Bonus Material.
