Whats your suspension setup? Is it working for you?

Hey, im kinda curious of what people are running for suspension.. ive been thinking of going to a more drag suspension than what i have now.

Currently i have eibach springs, torque arm and panhard bar. Its amazing for handling but i dont think its cutting it for 1/4 runs. I mean, the car 100% goes straight but doesnt feel like its squating..

So, what are you guys running?

I have 4cyl rear springs, stock everything else.
It leaves the line pretty hard, transfers the weight nicely.

I deleted the AC, Smog that took off some weight too.
also deleted spare tire, backseat, carpet in the rear and the roll cover thing.

what do you mean you have a TQ arm and panard bar?

That is def a nice setup. I looked at going that route too, i a few parts away.

It sure does add up, but for 3gs, you do get alot of parts.

imported_RICO 01-27-2006 07:19 AM

that you do, and there are great parts imo. if you ever get rid of the torque arm let me know.

I've run a few different setups over the years. I've done Koni's and Eibachs which handled nicely but didnt hook worth a damn; Also run 70/30 Lakewoods with stock 5.0 front springs, stock 4 cyl rear springs, 4 cyl rear shocks and Mac lower control arms on a regular radial and that hooked really hard for some reason. Next up I'm finishing my friend Kris' (RIP) 351 powered 86 GT. I believe we've got Lakewood 90/10s and 50/50s with trick drag front springs and stock rear springs, Mac upper and lower control arms, subframes, and no front sway bar. I'm takin her to the track once to see what kind of numbers I can pull off, hoping for 1.6-1.7 60 foots and high 11 second timeslips.

2Tone, man you've got an awesome setup for handling. I personally would prefer that setup over drag oriented anyday, try it with a drag radial or slick to see what kind of number you can pull off.
