whys my idle so high
 

for some reason my idle shot up way high and i cant get it back down ......any ideas

i've had that happen before. try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes, then see what happens. worked for me, hasn't happened since. i think if that doesn't work i'd check your ect sensor, i think it will kick the idle up if it thinks the car is overheating. there is a separate one for the gauge as the eec, so the gauge could be fine and you wouldn't know.

check the MAF to see if its fouled
