01 GTP Bolt Pattern/Backspacing...

Does anyone know what this is? I keep getting conflicting answers. I think it is 5X115.

yeah, its not usually I feel the need to ask. But I know Arch has a GTP, but he's gone for a bit.

I'm looking for wheels to buy for my new car that's coming soon(Dec). I have a few ideas, but I may just go with the silver set from SLP, I dunno. Can't be anything chrome/polished. Has to be black, silver, or gunmetal. and not too pricey.

Also, where's the best place to get aftermarket GTp hoods? The only place I see that has any is ASCD.

97z2801ss 09-26-2006 12:27 AM

slp has em still i think?

FORCE_FED_Z 09-26-2006 08:34 PM

I would say SLP is going to be your best bet for the G/P stuff. As far as lugs- all I can tell you is there is five per wheel..sorry-

I think RKRipoff also has some stuff for the G/P's- but I'm sure you have googled it trying to find stuff-

NoRiceInside 09-26-2006 08:43 PM

5x115 doesnt sound right...maybe 114.3 (4.5"). thats more common.

yeah. Not alot of options out there that I can find. I stay away from RKS, unless they have something on eBay. Even eBay hasn't been much of a help on this. Can't really find any wheel options that I even like so far. I like the SLP ones on LMPerformance, but I can't see paying $770 for my work car's wheels, when I only spent $600 on my Camaro's.

whats wrong with the ones on there now?

97z2801ss 09-26-2006 11:47 PM

they are stock GTp rims. They are alright, but kind of boring and everyday.

In December I will. I'm selling my Neon, and soon as I have the paint paid of for the Camaro next month, as long as all goes well and there are no major catastophe's, I'm buying a coworkers 2001 GTP. Its really nice.

blue89vert 09-27-2006 05:30 PM

why not just keep the rims on there and put more money into mayhem?

Because I like all my cars too look nice. Besides wheels for the GTP won't be for year or so.

blue89vert 09-27-2006 07:32 PM

i understand...you gonna have any particular theme for the car?

nothing in particular.. just dark. It's black. Some little things I want are the polished grill inserts, and the black housing headlights(but they are little pricey, so unless they go down, they are last on my list). I'd like to get a ram air hood evetually and I know I want some new wheels, and that's all I'm going to do, other than some small performance mods maybe, like exhaust, little things like that. I won't be planning anything big for the car. Just some little stuff. I want the front too look likt this chop I did.

archemedes 09-28-2006 06:38 PM

it's the same as the new mustang is all I know

FORCE_FED_Z 09-29-2006 09:01 PM

Do a pulley swap, cold-air, pull the driver headlight, open the exhaust up and you will be running low 13's.

They are nice cars- I was looking for one until I came across the deal for my Grand Cherokee- They are definetly nice quick cars.

archemedes 09-30-2006 01:07 AM

alcohol injection helps too

that's not my goal though, this will be my DD to replace my Neon. After I get some more work done to the Camaro, I may atart in a little heavier on the GTP though. I can't wait to get it. Its so nice. Just 2 months to go. I was going to get it at the end of December, but I've moved it up to the beginning of December/end of August.

The only thing "wrong" with it is the TRAC light is on, but April said she is thing of taking it to see why the light is on. That's not really a biggie, though, for the deal I'm getting on it cause she wants to get rid of it so bad(doesn't want to pay for premium gas anymore, and her husband just bought another car).

archemedes 10-01-2006 09:30 PM

check out clubgp.com that's where I bought mine from. I don't frequent there much anymore, but they have some very good info

Nice looking chop. There's a lot of opening in the front end aren't there.
