Take a look at this Camaro.. no options whatsoever. On the forum I found it on, they said its 1 of 99 with the 1LE package, but only 1 of 9 silver. Kinda rare, but not worth 17k imo. |
It's calld a stripper Z28 if i'm not mistaken.
1le has bigger swaybars @ 32mm, Koni or Bilstein shocks depending on year and stiffer springs, stiffer suspension bushings, and a heavy duty radiator..its also significantly lighter.
If you look in the engine bay you can see Scotts signature. Same place he signed mine.
I have never heard of a 1LE before... But thats pretty cool..
I've never understood paying more for a car like that. Yes it's rare but there's a reason for that, it has no options at all. If I was going to make a drag car then I understand it but that's it.
you could do more with that extra money when you buy a reagular z28 if you ask me

yeh, the 1LE is pretty rare, I know a guy around here that has one... we call him 1LE John. Red with black stripes, kinda like my car. nice car but not worth more.
The car is only worth that much money to the right person. It is basically an out of the box race car.
basically.. yea... good for autocross or drag... add a big fuel cell and your good to go... the 1le wasnt that much more then a base Camaro. and it was originally made to compete withthe cobra R for 20K less.. 4th gen wise anyways...
Yeah I agree with you Chad, its good for a race car, but definitly not worth that much when you can just buy a camaro with options and remove them all for much cheaper.
I thought the 1LEs were equipped with a better suspension as well over a stock car.
yeah, I think they are.
