Well,.......I'm sitting here waiting for about 6:45 pm to roll around, because I dropped my car off at local Stereo Shop this morning to have my System Installed. They told me it would take the full day to remove every part of the stock Bose system, and install my new JVC Deck, (4) 6.5" Audiobahn speakers in the doors and rear panels, the Sub Box in the back with the (2) A.B. 12" Subwoofers, the A.B. High Current 2ch Amp to run the Subs, the A.B. 4ch Amp to run the 6.5" speakers, the 0 Gauge Amp Kit for the Big Amp, the 4 Gauge kit for the smaller Amp, the HC-800 Powercell that's equal to 100 fared caps, the amp board under the carpet above the gas tank, all new 12 Gauge wiring going to the (4) 6.5"s, the distribution blocks, the fuses, and whatever else they have to do to make my car POUND!:hardrock:

I know there's probably a few people who don't care for Audiobahn Components,........but, I was able to get a really good deal on most of the things I have. I'm sure you guys have probably seen the stack of things I'm running in my Gallery Pictures. If not, you'll have to go there to see them, or you'll have to wait till tomorrow because I don't really remember the specs on some of the things I have except for each Sub handles 1500W RMS and 3000W Peak into 1ohm. The big amp puts out 2400W Max into 1ohm, so it should sound pretty good for what I'm wanting. The Deck is a JVC KDH-LX550 or something like that. All I now is that it's some touch screen satelite ready Deck that does more things than I'll ever learn how to do.

I'll take some pictures of it in the morning and let you know how it sounds in the Audio Video Forum tomorrow.:) Oh wait....I forgot I have a few pictures of some of the pieces.............

DAAAAMMMMM! That's quite the system you got there. I'll bet that makes the hair on your head stand up when it hits.:D
What kind of wattage are you running?

massin 03-10-2006 08:30 PM

Glad to see a kick *** system that rocks out to heavy metal instead of rap. I would through in some Mushroomhead to start. Then a little old school Metallica....For Whom the Bell Tolls or Fade to Black. Check out Avenged Sevenfold they rock also. Can't wait to see those pics!

Mike Jones 03-10-2006 08:32 PM

I'd have to say some old school Metallica like massin said but I'd also go with some Rob Zombie and some SevenDust

2000v6cam 03-10-2006 08:39 PM

My soundstream T4's came into today. Once the box built we can compare scores.

Str8upChevy 03-10-2006 08:49 PM

OOOHHHHHH.......Definitely Fade to Black is a good one. Also the beginning of "One" from: "And justice for all" ...........But then I gotta put in Disturbed "The Sickness". I don't have any Mushroomhead or Avenged Sevenfold......but it sounds like I might have to get me some.:hardrock:

Hey.....I might be almost 40, and grew up listening to Led Zepplin and Sabbath and what not, but I'm also a drummer with a past history of anger issues, so I'm sure you can relate to why I dig the Modern Metal. When I play......I like to Bang. Sometimes I get into some old RUSH 2112 to practice my Quality Play, but 99% of the time I like it HARD-N-HEAVY!

Oh yeah, that's definitely gonna pound! I just went with the Probox the local shop had, although I'm not sure how well it's going to do. These Subs are Compression Subwoofers and suggest running a ported box for full capacity.

Personally I've never liked that loose sounding bass though, being a drummer and all. That and I hate Rap music, so I'm hoping that box will do ok being sealed.

I am 37 and grew up listening to Kiss, Sabbath, etc... High school was the hair bands but not now, purely heavy metal. Although Theory of a Deadman rocks also. People can't believe that I listen to all the new stuff. They look at me like I'm nuts!

MeenZ28 03-10-2006 09:39 PM

Definatly disturbed. 10 thousand fists will make your system work, trust me.

97' Z28 show project 03-10-2006 09:44 PM

I have well over 3000 going to the subs at peek and around 3000 going continous. But in order for mine to hit it took 8 cubic feet of box ported but its still tight bass and my guess is a score in the 150s db when we get around to the slp test. My system pounds harder then almost all the cars ive been in. I love it. I will never buy anything but memphis again. But there are audioband subs that can hit harder then mine. I respect any sub that can hurt your ears. lol. Audioband has always been good im sure you will be happy with what you got. And i am so down with disturbed though but one by mettalica and some sevendust were awsome suggestions too. lol

Yeah.....it was a few years after I finished High School that the whole Big Hair thing happened, but with me being in a band at the time, I was sportin a big teased Tommy Lee Hair-Do (LOL) I was also a big KISS fan, infact Zepplin in the Kingdome was my first Concert back in '78, but not long after that I was at my first Kiss concert. Back then Peter Criss with his rising drum platform was the SH*T.

I think it's funny the way people expect you to mellow out as you get older,...... I'll still be rockin out to everything in my first post when I'm 75 years old. :hardrock: I'll be layin rubber in what ever I driving then too. "I'm not getting older.......I'm getting better"

Here's a 10 year old picture of me..........sportin the Jesus Christ Pose! He-he-he......I can't help but laugh everytime I see these pictures, it's because I've had short hair for the last 8 years.
