615s for daily usage ?

ok well im kinda of tired getting no traction through 1st gear, spining both wheels thanks to the LSD means a set of 512s from falkens dont last. i know an LSD isnt a big thing but id like to make it useful by getting stickier tires. i know the 615s from falken (replacing the azenis) are good for roughly 15k. anyone had any issues from heat? i dont drive large distances to work but i do the occasional highway boot and traveling at speeds over 90 for periods of time, would this heat up the tire too much? i guess proper tire pressure is key but im just asking general opinions on these tires for those who have run them.

thanks.

how would cruising on the road heat up a tire too much?:retard:

just get them, they will last longer than your street tires if youre making that much power.

well i was thinking as the tires get slighty hotter they will get stickier and possibly wear out faster, but they arent R compounds. so yea ill be picking up a set in the coming weeks.

i heard nothing but good things about the 615s, but keep in mind that they're half R compound tires so don't think they'll last long.

I am running the 451s, they're not that sticky IMO..

This is some "user input" info I found on them. Have no personal experience.

"Falken Azenis RT-615 They are the single closest thing to a drag radial I have found for straight line acceleration They have a stiff sidewall , and are fairly stiff riding due to it. They are semi-noisy due to the HUGE treadblocks , but the soft compound masks this some They do not make any kind of squealing noises at all , under any amount of force. expect 10 to 12 thousand if you spin your tires a lot with agressive driving , and 17 to 20 thousand if you drive conservatively until you need to light them up
Until something better comes along , I will continue to buy these as my daily driven street tire.
Below is listed the simple results of the other tires I tested.
Nitto 555R - good all around , but spun in 3rd gear... Good feel though
Kuhmo Ecsta MX- SUCKED badly .... Spun THROUGH even third gear.
Potenza s-03 - fairly good feel , great ride , spun through first of 3rd gear
Hankook Ventus R-s2z212 - Great feel , and probably second in stickyness
Pilot Sports PS-2 - Quiet ride , great feel , spun through third
Toyo Prox-4 - Nice ride , spun through most of 3rd gear.
Yokohama ES-100 - Harsh ride , let go INSTANTLY in corners , loud, and spun ALL the way through 3rd gear.
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3- Sweet ride , quiet , nice cornering feel , spun through most of third.
BF Goodrich KDW - Nice tires really , SCARY in the rain , wore out fast , and spun in 3rd gear too much.
