Clearly you've never been in a MK II w/ good suspension... if you have crappy suspension it'll ride like on 15's even. I can say that by far the best riding MK II I've been in is J.P's Golf, I was impressed with the ride every time I got in his car... With his 18's on it rode like a Cadillac, seriously. I believe he has fully adjustable B&G suspension... |
I would go with the 15 bbs, had 17's on and took them off. To big for the ride.

18's on a MK2 would only allow for a maybe 40 series tire, and around here, that ride would suck. |
17s are cheap and look really good if you drop the car... anybody know what size the chrome Porsche rims were on the mint green gti?

This MK2 with 18's doesn't look too bad, but there's no way I'd want to drive it on a public road.
GTcars, I'm going to assume you're talking about these rims.Clicky |
yep... those are them... bought some parts off of a guy once that showed me his black MK2 GTI that had those on it too... the car looked sick...
|
There are I think 3 sets of those for sale right now on Vortex. One guy's got them up with adapters, everything you'd need to put them on a 4x100 car.:smilie_da
