Armorall wax.

Don't have a picture yet but this is one of those very few armorall products that has a use. It is very easy to apply and remove from the car surface. I'm not sure on the price of the wax since this bottle has been sitting in the storage building for ever but I'm sure it is not expensive. The shine the wax leaves behind is impressive for cheap wax but nothing that really stands out. One thing I do like about the wax is that it has staying power. One thing I have noticed with waxes like Meguiars or other more expensive waxes is that you need to apply wax more often to keep the wax look. However the armor all wax seems to do a fairly good job of staying on the car for months.

My final verdict on this wax is that this wax would best be used for a daily driver. A vehicle that you don't really care if it has the best shinest paint but you will still have the long lasting protection of a good wax.

you do know when the wax dulls it's because it picked stuff up, the staying power may be it washed off

But what if water still beads up like the car has just been waxed?

archemedes 06-06-2005 12:06 AM

means it's clean didn't you see the pics of my gp I posted for Brian? water beads on t and I stripped any wax that was on it, wax is kind of outdated it was great on laquer paint but dioes nothing on urethane and clear coat since both are harder than any wax

So what would you use Arch? No wax? Maybe use some hair spray to keep it from beading?

archemedes 06-18-2005 10:38 PM

I don't wax paint beads without it (beading is a trick from the old laquer days)

What is the point of wax then? Companies make billions on those products, and you have to admit, they look amazing after you wax them. Beading or not, waxing helps appearance 10 fold.

it really doesn't help unless the car has been waxed a good polish will do teh same, basically wax levels out the peaks and valleys so does polish, wax makers make money because people will buy based on fear wax companies have people scared the clear coat will come off if it's not waxed see my post in teh washing and waxing area

Oh...yeah, I use a polishing wax thing. Not really wax.
