put pop's big block back in and finally were able to get the correct motor mounts so the motor is in straight and even now, as opposed to before which was all fugged up. anyways we tuned it in a little bit real quick and today he went and got his alternator fixed cause a few of the diodes inside were messed up.

also, today we put in my new rearend in my T/A. that was a bit of a job but not too terrible. ending up taking around 5 hours total. and we are currently getting some powder coming down so i went out and tested my new rear end and snow tires. i love it so much, i can power through all the snow and just drift all the street around here, its so sweet.lol

all in all, it was a busy weekend, but we got a TON done and nothing too terrible happened with any of the projects. i also finished my English take home final. YEAAAAAAAA!!!!

So sexy!

i got a whole new complete rear end. its outa a 99 Z28, so it has a Torsen carrier instead of auburn/eaton style. it still has 3.42 gear so no need for speedo change and it is a 3 channel which works with my car as well as only had 55k on it, pulled open the cover and it was CLEAN as a whistle. everything looked great. put a new cover seal and pinion seal in it, filled it up and everything seems awesome so far. and the big block will get a little more tuning done, still needs to be filled up with coolant and adjust the rockers, possibly time it at total and adjust float bowls, but they were perfect on the small block so well see. o and its only a 600 CFM on the 408. it still rips your balls off tho.hehe.

last tuesday i also installed a full turbo back exhaust on my friends 05' WRX. that was a bit of a chore but not terrible. next project..... N2OOOOOOOhehe

69z-28 01-15-2007 09:04 PM

69z-28 01-15-2007 10:34 PM

no it pissed my dad off.lol. i took my car out tonight and had a blast for about 1/2 hour. the blizzaks are fricken sweet *** snow tires. they just plow and the T/A goes right down the road... sideways, but it goes.lol. i love it.

Congrats on all the work you and your dad got done. I bet you can't wait for spring to break the big block and nitrous'd LT1 out.

Five hours sounds about right for the rear end. I think that's what it took me to swap out mine in my '94 V6.

paarman97maro 01-16-2007 12:04 AM

Yeah blizzaks are definitly for the win... but mine are practically bald in the middle now haha

Camarocam 01-16-2007 12:06 AM
