Buzzkill

well i went back to the shop today thinking my O2 sensors were bad and that was causing me to be slow...i talked to a few of the mechanics and they all told me that if its running right then its running right. if it were in open loop mode i'd definitely know it...then they said that port and polishing doesnt add much at all, and the cam is bigger than stock, but not that much so the project shouldnt have added much.

dam what a buzzkill. i did tons of research and i heard so much that this should add a lot. now theyre telling me that it wont. what the hell? why does my car such so much @$$? (performance wise...appearance wise its gorgeous :D )

anyway i think within the next year ima sell my car for one of these :D

WHAT?! I heard just doing the heads would really help out the L32.

NoRiceInside 04-12-2005 10:53 PM

yeah i was surprised as well...they dont know how bad the heads are i guess...still though, it is running fine. i mean theres no more hesitation or misfiring, yet its still not much different. i might go to another shop and see if they can diagnose something...

Can you tell any difference at all??

good call on going for the TA

Put the car on a dyno, that is the only way you can be sure.

L36...won....>.> <.<

NoRiceInside 04-13-2005 02:38 AM

no i dont wanna do a swap. my car is gorgeous and its gonna be really hard to part with it, but honestly im getting bored with camaros...i need a hobby besides looking at camaros, it gets me bored of em. lol. but yeah i dont know i just dont like how slow it is...i figured i'd get really good gains, but i really dont feel much at all. i should do a dyno...i just gotta get some prices. i heard its expensive...

ya sometimes they read real crazy numbers

NoRiceInside 04-13-2005 11:43 PM

well today i went around driving a lot...maybe 60 or 70 miles. a UPS truck stopped in the middle of traffic and the whole lane was dead...so i got outta the lane and floored it. wow...that was a real SOTP feeling. then again i pulled outta a parking lot and had to get in front of traffic...so i got on it...wow again. i guess everything is working right...it just isnt as noticeable difference as i though. very suttle and only at certain RPM...oh well.

archemedes 04-14-2005 12:25 AM

heck I just read an article where they did new heads and cam from edelbrock on an lt1 and only got 40 hp over the 120,000 mile stocker (on a low millage engine it may have been only 30) so a port and cam should get you somewhat less but still better than nothing then do some other basic mods (like fuel pressure and injectors)

NoRiceInside 04-14-2005 12:47 AM

i know im getting an intake and headers, but i dont know bout the fuel mods. my mileage sucks cuz i gotta heavy foot. if anything i might just do an AFPR.
