cancelling a insurance policy
 
Ok my record is clear as of the end of april but my insurance company will not drop my rates until its time to renew the policy.Has anyone cancelled there insurance ploicy and started up a new one?

who are you with? statefarm doesn't charge a cancellation fee, but not sure about others. you won't be penalized by another firm for cancelling if you tell them you cancelled b/c you had no interest waiting x number of months to be justified on your insurance

yeah but even then.. insurance companies consider it bad if you cancel.. They will ask you when you get a quote if you have cancelled an insurance policy within the last 3 years... Insurance companies don't really want to take on someone who may just cancel.. thats what my broker said..

true, when you're calling around about quotes say your insured and what the reason for looking elsewhere is. again, when i did it the guy that i spoke too was a family friend, so knew i wouldn't jump out of plans
