Got the quote from my insurance today, got 2,993 bucks. Put it in the shop, getting the SS hood with NO out of pocket cost. The guy at allstate whop checked out my car was a total idiot. He was calling around for prices on a front bumper kit and a hood, he said it had ground effects and a scoop in the hood :lolsign:

So he just put the money down on the estimate for a new hood, 718 bucks. So we're ordering the ss hood from rksport and having it shipped and installed, and we'll still have money left over from the original 718 bucks :D Getting a whole new left fender so its going to be all repainted through the door, which needs it on that side because at the top of the door next to the window its fading a lot, kind of a milky grey color, so that will be fixed :) Both of my clear corners were shattered in the crash, so getting new of those also. This rocks, my car is going to look so much better! he collision repair shop i took it to is less than a 1/4 mile from my house (literally across the street) so if i can borrow my friends digital camera i'll walk down there and take pics of the process :)

ummmm did your insurance rate go up at all? i'd hate to think what an accident would do to a a kid's insurance.

that is what happens when you deal with a good insurance company,that was common with allstate, and nationwide, a few others would haggle and then lowball all teh repairs

congrats on everything working out. I'd have gotten the hood from somewhere other than RKSport, though.

havent found out how much more a month yet though

last time I had a claim with allstate mine went up around $10 every 6 months

yeah even if you arent at fault, insurance rates go up a at least a bit...

Well, driving the Z28 until i get my car back, now im not so excited for my car to get done.

the one that i owned for 2 days. The lady that bought it for me is now in jail for 60 days. SO.. i can drive anything of hers i want, because i own...and have her permission :). But this Z is a piece of crap. Broken trans mount, vert top doesnt work, REALLY dicked up torque converter ( revs and launches when in braked, have to pull the E-brake to override it) No horn or cd player, and no antenna so no radio. cant wait for my car to be done, this thing sucks.

Yup, accidents, hail damage, anything insurance is the main reason I'd say, that most cars get modded exteriorally.
