Changing tires and rims = speedometer screwed up?
 

Well, when my dad and I installed my flame gauges like a year ago, we put the needle on 5mph higher than it was supposed to be on accident, so when my speedo said 55, I was ACTUALLY going 50. After getting the zr1s installed, now my speedo is 10 off at higher speeds, but seems to be still 5 off at lower speeds. Does this sound possible or normal side effects? :confused:

Yes, different size tires change the speedo.

yeah take it to a shop they can put the right kind of speedo gears in it to make it correct, i had to do it with the 67.

Fu(k speedo gears, just reprogram the computer.

there are no gears to change on the 4th gen

yeah, with the nzo wheels/stires mine read that way. I just got used to it & never bothered to get it fixed. This time when I put these new ones on, I will.

werd, I know enough how fast my car is going without the speedo, how much does it cost to reprogram the comp?

dont bother lookin. no companies will tune a computer for a 3.4. since my cam i've called so many companies. the only one who will is fastchips and its 350 bucks plus shipping of the ECU. f*ck that.

just because most out there won't, doesn't mean in other areas its impossible.

what are 94 cars obd1 or obd2

hypertech I don't think will do it the '94 is I believe odb1 (my truck is anyway)

i think they sell handheld programmers that program the speedometer exclusively
