dad sold the blazer....finally
 

my dad finally decided to get rid of the blazer, he's tradin it in on a 2003 jeep liberty sport w/ 13,000 miles. wouldn't be my first pick but i guess its pretty nice

i like liberty's my sister has one.

One of my friends has one of them liberty's its nice cruisin around in, but its hella scary offroadin with one of them they aint as stable as they look

They are fine for DD but they are not a jeep

i agree, i told him he shoulda got a grand cherokee but he said he didn't wanna spend that much

we sold are 98 blazer lt trim for 4,500

Why did he sell a 98 blazer?? lot of miles??

watch the trans on that thing (seems to be a real common problem on all the new jeeps)

oddly enough, the tranny seemed to be shifting kinda rough today...

Yeah my mom and my uncle both know people at there work with NEW jeeps and they have trannys go on them with very low miles which I think is very odd they don't build them like they used to the AW4's will go forever thats what my dads jeep has and my friend has his half way up the door in muddy water for 3 days and drives it like he stole it and it still works OK.

Their fun to drive, just not that stable.;)

they aren't made for guys to drive. I found it uh... very restrictive and uncomfortable.

they are quite cramped

the dealer gave him bumper to bumper warrantee for like 3 years i think(or somethin like that) so if the tranny is goin it'll be covered

there was a post on nastyz28 asking about the jeeps and all but 2 people had trans problems

thats not good, my dads gonna have a nervous breakdown, lol

Well thats good that is it under warrenty!!

then I won't tell you what they said about the a/c compressors :lolsign:

my parents had a jeep liberty for 2 years, leased, and never had any problems, it had about 75k too.

i'm guessin they don't last too long

seems the bearings in the front come apart (from the description I've been given) not sure if it's bad compressor or the engine revs a little higher than the compressor was designed for

when mercedes did the hostle takeover they wanted things done their way the chrysler engineers said it wouldn't work (the germans want a truck to ride like a car and what not)

ya i hear ya...my cousin just got an 04 dodge dakota and it drives just like a car, dunno how it is offroad or anything cause he's not one for that
