archemedes 03-15-2005 10:48 PM

Yeah my mom and my uncle both know people at there work with NEW jeeps and they have trannys go on them with very low miles which I think is very odd they don't build them like they used to the AW4's will go forever thats what my dads jeep has and my friend has his half way up the door in muddy water for 3 days and drives it like he stole it and it still works OK.

RFF 03-16-2005 11:53 AM

Their fun to drive, just not that stable.;)

meissen 03-16-2005 03:24 PM

they aren't made for guys to drive. I found it uh... very restrictive and uncomfortable.

SLPowerZ 03-16-2005 05:42 PM

they are quite cramped

the dealer gave him bumper to bumper warrantee for like 3 years i think(or somethin like that) so if the tranny is goin it'll be covered

meissen 03-16-2005 10:49 PM

my parents had a jeep liberty for 2 years, leased, and never had any problems, it had about 75k too.

archemedes 03-18-2005 09:07 PM

just guess

SLPowerZ 03-18-2005 10:11 PM

i'm guessin they don't last too long

archemedes 03-19-2005 02:06 PM

seems the bearings in the front come apart (from the description I've been given) not sure if it's bad compressor or the engine revs a little higher than the compressor was designed for

SLPowerZ 03-19-2005 09:20 PM

thats weird, thanks though. i'll tell my dad what he might be in for

archemedes 03-20-2005 03:14 AM
