tools needed
-Rubber malet
-tire plug kit (its about 6 bucks at CT)

-vice grips

alrite so i got a screw in my tire the other day and since it was sunday and all the shops were closed i decided to plug it my self.

1. now using the vice grips remove the screw (or what ever punctured the tire)

of course after doing this all the air will rush out and tire will be flat in a few seconds.

2. to clean the "injury", fully insert rasp rotating in one direction only. while rotating in the same direction remove the rasp. NEVER REVERSE DIRECTION OF ROTATION!!!!

3. Remove the plug from the package and center it in the eye of the inserting needle.

4. insert needle in to the hole until repair material is pushed in approximately 2/3 of the way.

5. pull inserting need straight out with a rapid motion. DO NOT TWIST THE INSERTING NEEDLE!!

6. cut off excess repair meterial just above the surface of the tread. BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE TREAD!!

7. now fill the tire back up with air to the recomended PSI.

take a squirt bottle of water and fill it with dish soap and spray the edge of the rim and area you think are leaking. Corrosion around where the tire seats can cause leaks. Also spray the area of repair as this is also a good indication that your tire repair has sealed properly at the given time of the fix. If any air is escaping bubbles will form.
