Do Jegs and Summit offer free shipping?
 

I never looked into it but a friend of mine said they had free shipping on all of their gear, is this true?

Yes, only a handling fee of like 8 or 9 bux. Some stuff they do charge like 20 bux extra for like a crate motor or something huge of that nature. Everything else is free.

they probably figured how much it'd cost to ship it as far across the country as possible and then add that to the price automatically when they mark it up.

Um no they dont

they chrage handling but it's more than shipping would be most of the time (most places like that do a contract where they set prices)

a lot of people on ebay when they want to do a buy-it-now price they will figure out how much s&h is and then add it on to whatever price they want, post the total price in the Buy It Now and then say "Free S&H when Buy It Now!" thats ebay but it wouldnt surprise me if that's what they do too. they definitely aren't paying for that s&h themselves.

kinda like the "free" dvd player that cc gives when you buy a tv that's priced at suggested retail (the dvd player costs me 20 bucks and I refuse to give them away they are garbage)

Its just one of those 'make you feel good offers' so that you think you are gettin a good deal.

Either way I havent had problems with either one- both have competitive prices and are willing to price match-

both have the same stuff they just don't list it all in the catalog
