Electrical experts I need some help

So here's the deal. My daily driver is a 1996 Cavalier and the other night while driving home I decided to stop off at a gas station to get some cash. When I came back out and turned my car on, my 'brights' indicator came on but no lights were on. I switched my headlights on and nothing happened. So I flicked the brights a few times to see if I could get the lights on (and the bright light indicator off) but to no avail. My parking lights come on however.

I'm guessing it's a relay somewhere - I checked the fuses and they are fine...so I'm kind of lost as to where to begin on this, would anyone have any idea? It's something I need to fix this weekend if possible because the only times I need to drive my car happen to be at night, and well, without headlights I wont be getting far.

thanks in advance to any help you guys can give :)

There is 2 fuses one for each headlight since they are good Maybe its your Headlight switch. The headlight switch and High/Low dimmer control is all together in one assembly. It works as a gound pretty much. If you hold the flicker back do they come on? Also may sound stupid but check your bulbs. I'm not too good with electrical crap but Sounds like your headlight switch to me.

checked the fuses, bulbs and wiring and they are all intact. I went to the autoparts store and they said it was my headlamp relay switch - so the new one comes in wednsday, hopefully thats the problem
